Outposts

A Fresh Expressions Outpost is a regional, ecumenical hub of Fresh Expression experiments. These donor funded efforts provide the time and local focus of a Fresh Expression strategist to connect with local congregations, coach Fresh Expression initiatives, and convene spaces for peer learning and encouragement.

What an Outpost Offers 




An Outpost offers what most individual churches cannot create on their own: 

  • A supportive footing to try something new. 
  • A relational greenhouse where congregations envisioning and starting Fresh Expression experiments can find encouragement, mentorship, energy, and peer connections. 
  • A story-rich environment where local examples spark imagination and possibilities. 
  • A rhythm of formation—prayer gatherings, learning labs, and action-planning spaces—that turns ideas into experiments, and experiments into new expressions of Christian community. 
  • A local network that accelerates collaboration, reduces isolation, and aligns leaders toward shared mission in the everyday places of life.
