Dinner Church School of Leadership

A seminary training in partnership with Kairos University

Simply stated, the depths of understanding to be mined in the dinner church theology is significant, and warrants graduate-level instruction and theological reflection.

That need has prompted an academic response – the Dinner Church School of Leadership. Dinner Church is not an innovation – it is a recovery project! And that historic recovery is at the heart of this program. Any leader who desires to recapture a very rich sociology of church from the first 600 years of Christian history soon realizes there is a lot to be embraced. Any serious student of the dinner church would do well to embrace some extraordinary and intrinsic differences in the areas of preaching, discipleship, evangelism, and the familial sociology that constituted a Jesus table. That historic ecclesial form drew its meaning from the New Passover that Christ himself practiced and handed over to the first disciples.

What Will We Learn?

• Learn how to select and train a core team and train volunteers for a Dinner Church.
• Learn how to select a neighborhood and a site for a Dinner Church.
• Learn how to take pastoral responsibility for a new Dinner Church congregation.
• Learn how to prepare and deliver a kerygmatic sermon and how to disciple people in the likeness of Christ around tables. Learn how to develop prayer strategies that will keep you on the front-lines of the Gospel.
• Learn how to grow a new Dinner Church organizationally from infancy into adolescence, and finally into a sustainable adult congregation.
  

What's Included?

• Five Courses (18 credits) over a 9-month period
• Weekly Lectures will be every Tuesday evening 7pm-9pm ET/ 4pm-6pm PT from September 16, 2025 thru June 2, 2026
• All courses and assignments will be conducted virtually. All students will be engaged in a live lecture each week, virtually.
  

What Will It Cost?

For Credit: There is a non-refundable Registration Fee (Eventbrite Ticket) of $50. You then have a choice – If you pay in full it is a $2700 Tuition (a $300 discount) If you choose to pay monthly its is a $3000 Tuition (10 months at $300). We will setup an electronic invoice to bill you either for the full payment of $2700 or 10 monthly payments of $300 each. At the end of the course there is a $500 Matriculation Fee paid to Kairos University. Total Credit cost (registration + tuition + matriculation fee) is $3250 paid in full / $3550 paid monthly. All payments must be completed before Kairos University will issue certificate for academic credit.

For Audit: There is a non-refundable Registration Fee (Eventbrite Ticket) of $25. You have a choice – If you pay in full it is a $1800 Tuition (a $200 discount) – If you choose to pay monthly its is a $2000 Tuition (10 months at $200) We will setup an electronic invoice to bill you either for the full payment of $1800 or 10 monthly payments of $200 each. Total Audit cost (registration + tuition) is $1825 paid in full / $2025 paid monthly.

Any student enrolled in a Masters Program (for credit) will be paired with an Academic Advisor chosen from the faculty of Kairos University. Any student pursuing the Dinner Church Graduate Certificate will be paired with an Academic Advisor (holding at least a Masters Degree) chosen by DCLS.
